To launch the initial phase of the project, Dza Kilung Rinpoche met regularly with the Digital Library team by zoom.

Computers were purchased, scholars and transcribers invited, and work-site arrangements made.
Following this, the team of transcribers was set up in the Sershul House in Dzachuka. Texts were transcribed from the pecha original to digital.
One of the monks graduated from the first Kilung Shedra program, and then was a khenpo at the Shedra. One young lay person, a graduate of the Ponru School, is now in Chengdu getting training on ebooks, layout and design.

The digital copy was carefully proofread for accuracy.
When winter descended upon Dzachuka, work continued in Chengdu for 2nd and 3rd level proofreading with technical comparisons to source materials. Seven khenpos and lamas from Dzachuka, Serta Larung Gar and Samye Monastery, experts in these texts, are accomplishing this high-level proofreading. The focus currently is on Longchenpa’s Seven Treasures (Dzodun). These masters are only available in the winter because their shedras are on winter break.

When spring returns to Dzachuka, the transcription and proofreading will move back to Dzachuka.
